POLAR SPECIALIST
The Opportunity
We are expanding our team and seeking experienced Polar Travel Specialists who are passionate about wild places and skilled in crafting polar travel experiences. If you have in-depth knowledge of the Arctic and Antarctic and a proven record of success in expedition travel sales, we'd love to hear from you. This is a remote, independent contractor position.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the whole journey planning process—from first inquiry to post-trip follow-up.
- Match clients with the right operators and itineraries using your insider knowledge of polar expedition ships and experiences.
- Manage inbound sales leads and convert them through consultative conversations via phone, video, and email.
- Build long-term relationships that inspire repeat business and referrals.
- Keep accurate records of client activity in our CRM.
- Stay current with evolving polar products, including occasional Fam-educational travel opportunities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of proven experience selling polar or expedition cruises. (required)
- Strong knowledge of Arctic and Antarctic destinations and operators. (required)
- Experience travelling in polar destinations (required)
- Passion for the polar regions and for helping others experience them.
- Excellent communication skills—especially over the phone and video.
- Ability to work independently as a contractor with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in CRM software and comfort with digital sales tools.
- University degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Role & Responsibilities
Are you a client-savvy Polar Specialist with excellent Antarctic and Arctic travel industry knowledge? If you answered yes, you must intimately know the best polar operators and their experiences while being able to ‘translate’ those experiences to our clients.
We are looking for experienced, independent polar travel experts willing to contribute to a growing team of Specialists.
It's important that you are an adaptable self-starter and one who is willing to ensure our polar clients are always your top priority.
We won’t be micromanaging anyone - our Polar Specialists are consummate professionals.
Requirements
- You have a true passion for wild places and polar travel.
- You are a Polar Specialist with a demonstrated track record of selling polar experiences.
- Minimum two years of client-facing, polar travel agency, or independent affiliate/contractor travel sales.
- Excellent phone and video conference skills.
- Experience working with CRM software to manage sales leads.
- When the opportunity arises you have a willingness to travel to polar regions in order to stay current with tour operator experiences.
- College/University educated or relevant professional experience.
Employment details
- Independent Contractor.

- 100% commission-based.
- Work from home, remote office.
- Flexible work hours, however, must be responsive to inbound client inquiries, Monday to Friday on North American Eastern time.
